Today, on October 26, 2023, a meeting was held between Prof. Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, the rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, and Prof. Beruniy Alimov, the director of the non-governmental organization “Yangi Media Ta’lim Markazi”.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties exchanged brief information about the activities of their organization. In particular, I. Tukhtasinov noted the large-scale work carried out at the university and spoke about the opportunities provided for young people.
In turn, B.Alimov thanked the rector of the University for the information provided and noted that the Center is ready for multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan State World Languages University, such as the joint implementation of a number of projects aimed at developing the knowledge and skills of not only students, but also doctoral students, as well as teaching staff.
At the end of the meeting, the rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, and the director of the NGO “Yangi Media Ta’lim Markazi” Beruniy Alimov signed a Cooperation Agreement.
Within the framework of the signed Agreement, the purpose of which is the mutual development of media and information literacy of young people, training in social partnership and strengthening ties between non-governmental and non-profit organizations, the parties will carry out:
- mutual cooperation in the field of media and information literacy, i.e. conducting training sessions and seminars for students, researchers, as well as teaching staff;
- development and implementation of joint educational, scientific and practical projects, with the involvement of foreign organizations, foundations and donors, within the framework of state and international grants;
- development and organization of academic programs and courses, seminars, scientific conferences, online and offline activities aimed at media literacy.
